That means your infection fighting protocols, your chelation proposal, and even your weight management remedies may not work, no matter how hard you (or they) try.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"btn btn__primary col-xs-py-1 col-xs-px-8 \" href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/fxna\/misc\/pdf\/FxNA-Sleep-Assessment.pdf\">learn more and get my Sleep Assessment now!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While I know it\u2019s tempting to search for a single miracle solution to your client\u2019s symptom or diagnosis, I assure you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fxnutrition.com\/articles\/why-we-crave-the-quick-fix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this is a trap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Non-Negotiable Trifecta<\/h2>\n<p>To truly get to the roots of your clients suffering, (please) don\u2019t forget to address the Non-Negotiable Trifecta\u2014sleep, poop, and blood sugar balance. Otherwise, rather than <em>clearing the muddy waters<\/em>, you may actually be adding mud to those proverbial waters and making those roots more difficult to find!<\/p>\n<p>Because this Trifecta is so important to practicing Functionally, I\u2019ve created assessments and tracking tools to help you work with each one. Today I\u2019m eager to share our <a href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/fxna\/misc\/pdf\/FxNA-Sleep-Assessment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sleep Assessment<\/a> with you, but first let\u2019s look at why sleep is so very important.<\/p>\n<h2>Importance of sleep<\/h2>\n<p>A good night\u2019s sleep supports immune, neurological and hormonal function. It helps balance the microbial diversity in the gastrointestinal tract. Sleep is one of our most critical (and natural) forms of detoxification. And sleep is one of the biggest factors that I\u2019ve found to be clinically relevant in weight loss resistance.<\/p>\n<p>If your client isn\u2019t getting a proper amount of sleep to meet their body\u2019s unique needs, they&#8217;re likely to show up with several of these symptoms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>detoxification challenges<\/li>\n<li>constipation<\/li>\n<li>impaired immune function<\/li>\n<li>hunger<\/li>\n<li>moodiness<\/li>\n<li><em>and more<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sleep issues can even induce addictive behaviors because, without proper rest, someone is likely to look for substances to keep them energized.<\/p>\n<h3>Sleep as a skill<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting a good night\u2019s sleep isn\u2019t as easy as getting your body into bed at the proper time. Sleep disorders are one of the most common yet most frequently overlooked health problems. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/fxna\/misc\/pdf\/FxNA-Sleep-Assessment.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Questions about sleep<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are rarely asked by physicians.
