Don\u2019t over-process. Feel free to taste the mixture to make sure it\u2019s to your liking. You can always add more sugar or spices!<\/li><li>Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough-like mixture into hand and form into a ball. A mini ice cream scoop works well for this if you have one.<\/li><li>Roll in coconut flakes, if desired. Chill in fridge on wax-lined sheet for at least one hour.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional tips for preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you don&#8217;t have a food processor, you can use a blender. Just be sure to blend on low speed so that the nuts don&#8217;t get too pulverized.<\/li><li>You can use any type of sweetener you like in this recipe. We prefer coconut sugar for its caramel flavor, but you can also use maple syrup, honey, or even stevia.<\/li><li>No coconut flakes? No problem. Substitute with shredded coconut or even chopped nuts.<\/li><li>These donut holes can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Nutrient-dense donut holes like these are a great snack or dessert.
