The bright dried berries create a lovely marbled affect that you and your sweetie will adore.<br \/>\nWhen making Nakayummies, remember you can pour the mixture into any shaped mold you like. I have quite the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/BAKER-DEPOT-Silicone-Chocolate-Handmade\/dp\/B01HNJF0CI\/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1L36YHE6SWPYE&amp;keywords=Heart+Shaped+Silicone+Mold+for+Chocolate&amp;qid=1674532578&amp;s=home-garden&amp;sprefix=heart+shaped+silicone+mold+for+chocolate%2Cgarden%2C156&amp;sr=1-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">collection<\/a> of cubes, hearts, stars and more!<br \/>\nReally, anything works, ice cube trays or even a small glass dish from which you cut the candy like fudge will all do the trick.<br \/>\nBe creative and enjoy a little healthy nugget of goji goodness.<br \/>\n<strong>ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000FFLHSY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">goji berries<\/a>, ground to a paste in a coffee or spice grinder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup gently melted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Sunfood-Superfoods-Cacao-Butter-Non-GMO\/dp\/B00394MMQ4\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1MZRC7ZI8II9N&amp;keywords=Sunfood+Superfoods+Organic+Cacao+Butter.+100%25+Pure+Cacao+Bean+Oil%2C+Chocolate+Taste.+Keto+Coffee%2C+Smoothies%2C+Dessert%2C+Ice+Cream.&amp;qid=1674532657&amp;s=grocery&amp;sprefix=sunfood+superfoods+organic+cacao+butter.+100%25+pure+cacao+bean+oil%2C+chocolate+taste.+keto+coffee%2C+smoothies%2C+dessert%2C+ice+cream.%2Cgrocery%2C121&amp;sr=1-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cacao butter<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(use a double boiler or glass inside of a pan of boiled water)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup gently softened coconut butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 to scant 1\/2 cup raw honey<\/li>\n<li>zest of two oranges (blood oranges work great)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>preparation:<\/strong><br \/>\nThoroughly mix all ingredients together until blended.<br \/>\nSpoon mixture into flexible ice cube trays or candy molds (see note above). The mixture might separate a bit\u2013the oil from the sweet goji paste. Don\u2019t worry. This is what creates the lovely marbled effect. Just be sure to get some of each portion into each mold.<br \/>\nOnce the molds or tray are filled, put the container in the freezer for a couple of hours. You can eat the candies right from the freezer or store them in the fridge after they\u2019ve hardened.<br \/>\nOh gee goji. . . pretty AND yummy. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Goji: Why the Craze?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The goji berry, also called the wolfberry, is one of the most nutritionally rich foods on the planet!<\/li>\n<li>Gojis can grow in remarkably diverse conditions\u2014from the tropics to the deserts. When I think about the energetics of a food, and consider the adaptability of the goji berry, I know that it would be beneficial to be consuming more of these morsels. I want that adaptability in my life!<\/li>\n<li>The Chinese, Tibetan, and Mongolians have been growing gojis for over 5,000 years; drying them to raisin-like texture for preservation. This makes gojis a traditional food, not a new-fangled fad.<\/li>\n<li>Goji berries have also been grown in America\u2014mostly in the southwest. They were an important food source for several native American tribes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nutritional benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Goji berries are actually a complete source of protein\u2014including 19 amino acids and all 8 essential amino acids. What this means is that consuming them is a great way to add protein to your daily snacks or morning smoothies.<\/li>\n<li>Goji berries contain a wide array of trace minerals, including zinc, iron, calcium, &amp; selenium.<\/li>\n<li>Goji berries contain 2-4 times the amount of antioxidants found in blueberries! In terms of their antioxidant profile, I always like to say they\u2019re like blueberries on steroids.<\/li>\n<li>They also contain more carotenoids than carrots. Don\u2019t be blinded by their carotenoid rich redness.<\/li>\n<li>The goji berry has anti-inflammatory properties.<\/li>\n<li>Goji berries are a great digestive aid\u2014they draw the digestive juices into the stomach and intestines.<\/li>\n<li>You can easily find goji berries at your health food store or whole food market these days.
