Sugar-Free Banana Nice Cream is a delicious and healthy frozen treat, perfect for anyone looking to reduce or eliminate refined sugar, dairy, and artificial ingredients from their dietary plan. Not only that, it’s quick and easy to make, with endless customization options. Next time you’re looking for a sweet treat, ditch the ice cream and reach for nice cream instead!
Yields one serving
2 bananas
See ingredients for optional variations below
Day before:
Peel fresh bananas and break them into chunks
Freeze the banana chunks for 24 hours.
Day of:
Process the frozen banana chunks in a food processor until smooth and creamy. It takes a good few minutes for them to break down fully.
Add any other desired ingredients. (see variations below)
Process again or mix by hand to incorporate.
Enjoy!
Add when blending (per single serving):
Mint Chocolate Chip:
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
4 squares chocolate, grated
Fruit and Nut:
1 teaspoon chopped, dried fruit
1 tablespoon chopped nuts
Berry:
a handful of your favorite berries, like strawberries, blackberries or blueberries
For a richer flavor, use overripe bananas.
If the nice cream is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of alternative milk or water.
Serve immediately or freeze for later.
