Mapping Maternity Care Deserts with Stacey Stewart #171

In the United States black women are 3 to 4 times more likely to die due to pregnancy-related complications. Black babies are twice as likely to die before their first birthday. Today on the podcast Stacey Stewart, President and CEO of the March of Dimes, speaks into these extreme gaps that are due to maternity care deserts. This is a powerful conversation that I consider required listening for all–especially those of us looking to fill the gaps in medicine and healthcare.
