What's going on in there?

Over the years, I’ve built Replenish with a lot of love and passion but with one core principle, a principle that I like to call. . .
what’s going on in there?

There’s actually a book called “What’s Going On In There?” by a neurologist named Lise Eliot. That book is about learning what’s going on in your baby’s brain as they’re responding to their environment and growing each day, month and year.

I read that book, many moons ago, when my now thirteen-year-old son was developing in my womb.

That was back in the days when I was just starting to fully comprehend that my body had inner functions unique to me; that my body wasn’t just a set of hips and thighs that I was judging by how they fit into my jeans.

I quickly realized, as I started down this path of health and nutrition ~ first with my own efforts to get pregnant, then with my husband’s brain tumor diagnosis and then, even more so, with the thousands of individualized clients and course participants that I’ve supported ~ that the concept of what’s going on in there merits attention no matter our age or circumstance.

Just like when we’re developing babies, there’s the stimulus that’s going on around us, and then there’s something that’s happening within us, the ways in which we as unique entities process the external.

When it comes to nutrition, this is where food meets physiology.

Where the rubber meets the road.

Where it’s not just about what you eat, but how your body responds to what you eat. . .
what’s going on in there?

You deserve to know.

What’s going on in there in winter?

It may feel like winter is all about snow days and snuffly noses, but according to the tenets of the ancient five elements, there’s actually something going on inside your body as well.

The insides mirror the outside.

And that’s why we’ve designed Revitalize: A Truly Food Winter Cleanse to suit and soothe just what’s going on in there right now.

There’s less light. There’s a deep sense that we need to conserve and not burn the candle at both ends. Life itself can feel a little dark and frightening.

Outside, beneath the frost and snow, hidden in the darkness of the soil, there’s new growth and possibility. The plants are restoring their reserves. They will see the light and you will too.
Do you take ample time to renew and repair as the plants do in winter?

By tapping into the season and tending to the organs associated with winter (your detox organ, the kidneys and your hormonal powerhouses, the adrenals), we can capture the inner qualities of strength, reserve and endurance.

They’re qualities we all need to make it to the light of spring!
Come join us to Revitalize for 1 week in the flurry of your winter, wherever you are!

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
― Edith Sitwell

What’s going on in there with your clients or patients?
How does the principle of what’s going on in there translate to our clients and patients when we’re in the healing professions?

It’s my strong belief that food is only a piece of the equation.

Food is part of the stimulus, but how that stimulus responds inside each person’s body is something we need to learn and understand. This is where the concept of bioindividuality is critical.
What’s going on in there allows us to be more effective in our ability to help people. It allows us to be a more transformative leader in the field. Ultimately it enables us to provide the best guidance and support for the person, not the precept (of a diet or a diagnosis alone).

Yes, cleaning up the diet is key. There’s no doubt that this is true!

Yet we need to take it a step further.

I know from many of you directly, that you’re in situations where you want to take your practice and your understanding up a notch. You want to know how you can help a client by understanding what’s going on in there! You feel handicapped without the deeper connections.
And that’s exactly what I teach you in Holistic Nutrition Lab.

Come take the next step in advancing your ability to understand what’s going on there for each individual client in this free seminar Functional Nutrition 101: How to use the guiding principles of Functional Medicine to captivate and enroll health coaching clients – while giving you the top tools to help them.
Enroll today to make sure you don’t miss out on this important conversation!

Don’t let dark days of winter leave you depleted and without inspiration.

I’m here to help light your fire.
